Seminar Training MUST take place before you attend a seminar if you intend to really Milk The Money Out Of It!

Before you go out to a movie or even rent a Video or DVD you do some research...you want to make sure you'll enjoy it.  Seminar Training is similar...you do your research before you decide to attend.

Now in the case of Movies or DVDs, the research is simple.  Maybe you saw an ad on TV that piqued your interest.  Maybe you saw a Trailer for it in the last movie you attended or Video you rented.  Maybe it was as simple as a trusted friend recommending it to you.  Or, maybe you're familiar with the Director's works or other films that these actors have been in.  (This plus much more enters into Seminar Training)

In any case, you rarely, if ever, would attend a movie or rent a video without some prior information that causes you to think you'll like it.  At a minimum you read the blurb on the box before you even rent a $1 video...Right?

The same holds true for Music.  You don't go out and buy a Phonograph Album (that shows you how long it's been since I bought music) I should say CD, without first knowing what type of music is on it...Pop, Rock and Roll, Rap, Country, Classical etc.  Once you've determined the type of music on it, you look at the Artist...do you like their work.  If they're brand new, what have you heard about them?

You do all this homework for a product that will only set you back anywhere from a dollar, on the low end, to less than 50 bucks, on the high end.

Why would you do any less before you attend an event that runs you in excess of $1,000, plus takes up a few days of your precious time?  Seminar Training is VERY important!

Let's look at a little deeper at live seminar training events...

By the way... The Seminar Calendar lists some of the best seminar training events available today.

A live training event is like a Buffet type restaurant...

At a sit-down type restaurant your food is brought to you.  You're handed a menu, you look at it, you ask some questions of the waiter, place your order and, eventually, they bring you your food.

At a Fast Food restaurant they hand it over to you.  You stand in line, look at the overhead menu-board, you may ask a question or two, you place your order and take your food back to your table to eat.

But... at the buffet, you have more choices and nothing is brought or handed over to you in pre-measured quantities.  There is seldom anyone present to answer your questions.  You must know about the food from prior knowledge.  Sure, you can ask other people who are filling their plate or you can leave your place in line to search out someone who can answer your questions, but this is seldom done.  You even chose the type of buffet restaurant (before you ever walk in the door) for the type of food they have.  How do you know what type of food they have?  You did some research first.

You're responsible for getting up and getting your own food.  It's much more important that you know something about the Buffet and the type of food they serve before you ever go there.   You have to choose what you want and how much you want.  If you're not careful you'll eat yourself sick.

A buffet doesn't limit you.  You're free to sample new food and you can pig out on what you already know you like.  You can mix and match the tried and true foods with small bits portions of something new.  It can expand your appreciation of new foods while allowing you to have your favorites to fall back on.

This is just like a Live Seminar Training event.

There is so much offered, that if you tried to do it all, you'd get sick from overload.  You'd end up getting a negative value because you tried to do it all.

You have to go into these live seminar training events with some knowledge of what's there, what you need, what you want and what you can actually use.  Only then can you start to milk the value and money out of a live training event.

Whenever I go into a restaurant that offers a buffet, I first go and look it over before I buy it.  I want to know if it contains what I want.  I want to see if it contains any new choices that will broaden my gastronomic experience.

Before you attend a Live, seminar training, event you need to obtain similar knowledge.

Know the event.  Maybe the event is a one item event...a Workshop that goes into hands on detail about one subject.  These are VERY good.  But...you need to do your research to insure that the experts giving the training know what they're talking about.  You want to insure that you really understand what they're training on and what level (beginning, intermediate, advanced etc.) of training they are giving.  You need to insure that you really need this type of training.

Once you decide to go to the event you need to discover how to sample the wares.  You need to learn how to get the most out of the event, without getting "burnt out" with Information Overload.

You need to learn how to get the most for your money.

And, once you go home from a live seminar training, you need to know what to do with all that knowledge before the excitement burns off and the alligators of life resume snapping at your backside.
